Definitely noticed a difference!

My biggest problem is the consistency of my swing. This trainer definitely helps with that. It's really easy to use and I noticed a huge difference in my swing during practice sessions. Great product!
Best Training Aid I've Used

Would highly recommend. It's as advertised. My practice sessions are on usually on a mat, and this helps me with alignment, and provides instance feedback if my attack angle is where it needs to be.
SUPER Underrated training aid!

I'm a PGA Professional and run an indoor golf facility in the winter months. If you're practicing indoors on a mat. This is a MUST. It is very easy to not have very good low point control on a mat and be lulled into a false sense of security. Essentially mats allow you to have a slightly upward angle of attack and not well organized low point and still hit an okay shot. Out in the real world, on the golf course with a ball on turf, the actual results differ. You MUST have a low point on the target side of the golf ball with a slightly descending blow to have any kind of consistency of strike. The STRIKER 3000 Plate is a fantastic (low-tech) way to get a good solid feedback on low point and angle of attack. I've had 3-4 of these now. One of my most used training aids. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This is a legit training aid

I'm really skeptical of most golf training aids. A lot of them are super gimmicky. This training aid is legit. It really forces you to concentrate on good ball contact. If you don't get good ball contact you're going to hit the back or sides of the device. It's instant feedback on whether or not you got good ball contact. If you hit a lot of balls at the range off a mat this thing is the perfect companion because golf mats have a degree of forgiveness. If you hit behind the ball a little bit on a mat the ball might still fly ok but on the course that's a duffed shot. This device gives you the duff feedback on a mat.

I've probably hit about 1,500 balls with this device at this point. The quality of the device is fine. It's going to scuff up basically immediately but it doesn't effect the device at all. You can blast it and it doesn't feel like it's going to break. Maybe eventually it'll break but I think I could probably use it for a full year or two without breaking it. If I did end up breaking it I'd have no problem just buying another one. It's priced cheap enough that I wouldn't even care if I broke it.

Now here's the deal... this is the only training device I've ever used where I thought, yea this thing definitely helps me. I'm making better contact with the ball after using it. I'm more cognizant of where the club head is, the club head angle coming into the ball, and how deep the swing is. It helps bring an awareness of the club head to the swing that I didn't realize I was missing before which I think is helpful.

I noticed significant ball contact improvement using this device within 3 times of using it. I start with short chip swings, build up to half swings, then 3/4 swings, then full swings. I challenge myself on 10 balls. How many balls out of 10 can I not hit the plate? I'm doing experiments with little tweaks in the swing and recording the results out of 10. What helps? What doesn't help? What works against me? How much should I turn? I get instant feedback on whether or not I'm getting good ball contact. Good ball contact is probably the most important skill for consistency with irons and wedges and probably the best foundation to build on.

I don't write a lot of reviews unless a product is really bad or really good. This is a golf training aid that I really like. I'm going to be using it all winter, and I'm confident when the weather breaks my game will have made a significant jump this off season.
