Nice unit, well made. Probably better suited for a heavy door but works well on the door to my chicken pen.

Lowes sells a better Latch, this one is not pre greased so it squeaks and binds in the first week. as well the receiver is blunt ended so it does not close by itself so if you think this will work with self closing hinges think again. Its heavy duty would be good for maybe a barn door that you dont care if it squeaks and is hard to turn

Using this on a pieced-together door we built for our cabin. LOVE the fact that it could be installed with a large drill bit (no carving out the inside / side of the door to fit a traditional doorknob). Installed in 15 minutes and works like a charm. Ordering a second one for the back door.
Worked excellent on a heavy door

Used for my grandkids playhouse barn style door. Worked excellent on a heavy door.
Kind of wasted half of the latch

these actually didn't fit the door we wanted to install them on. The door was too thick with the siding and trim. These aren't adjustable for thickness. We ended up using them without the inside handle on some feeder doors on our barn where we didn't need the inside part anyway. Kind of wasted half of the latch, but at least we got to use them.
