Genuinely a lot of these reviews are quiet misleading. Is this mouth piece great and good for people who've never had to mold a mouth piece before? No. But if you know what you're doing with molding this'll be a fine mouth piece. Just gotta make sure you don't let it cook to long and cool off in the ice bath for more than 2 minutes.

These were ordered as a Christmas present for my football player. He's been playing youth football for a few seasons and was in need of a new mouth guard. He accessories his uniform with as much pink as he can to support a friend of mine who's battling stage 4 mets breast cancer. His great grandma is also a survivor so he loves to show support year round.
The battle fang mouth guard comes in a 2 pack. They are a good sturdy plastic material and the boiling instructions are easy to follow.
He has been using the guard with the white fangs now for a few months with no issues. It makes him feel extra fierce! He doesn't use the included strap and instead tucks the guard into his face mask when he's not playing like his favorite NFL players do.
These guards do a good job and don't fall apart as easily as others we have used. Even a popular name brand one didn't last as long. We just finished winter season and are headed into spring and he's still on the first guard. They have been a great value. I would recommend them.

I bought this adult (11+) for my almost 11 year old, who is very large for his age, it was so large it would have never fit in his mouth. I would probably go with the junior size up to high school, yes even for your big kid. It was cute, looked to be durable but I sent it back.

This is the most comfortable mouthguard I've had in years, fitting when done right it easy.
A few tips
Make sure the water is HOT!!! Espresso machine isn't hot enough.
Use the tether to lower into water
No more that 55 seconds in the water (**follow with braces time if you have braces**)
** Put a plastic utensil ( I prefer a spoon) in the middle of the month guard to prevent the sides from sticking together!!
Skip the room temp water after, just hold with with the spoon and tether and allow to steam off a little. Avoid shaking the mouthguard to remove water, it an collapse on itself.
Follow the directions on molding form there.
