Great product, nice to have, would (have) recommend multiple times!

As a professional aluminum TIG welder I will say that this product, albeit is not a must have piece of equipment, is certainly an awesome luxury to have for about 50% of the welds I do. And it does make those welds substantially easier to do without burning myself.
They do degrade with use though and eventually do fray and disintegrate, but even with using it 5 days a week for hours on end per day, the process of degradation does take about a 1.5 months.
I really do love this product, and am going to try and convince my employer to buy them in bulk making them standard company equipment. Doubt this will happen, but a man can dream.

Buy it. It will make you a better welder with zero effort.

If you weld - stick, tig, mig, whatever - this is the best product short of a good set of gloves out there. It allows you to prop anywhere and you will instantly be a better welder because you'll have more options. For the money nothing I've found will improve your welding more than the tig finger. I'd even put this above an auto-darkening helmet as a game changer.
Great job Jody on the TIG finger

Great job Jody on the TIG finger. This is a must have. It really allows you to get a solid position with support. And keep your dragging finger cool and protected.
but he says its great. He can do more with this than with ...

An absolute must have for Tig welding. My husband was thinking of purchasing these but hadn't gotten around to it yet. While researching welding accessories to get ideas for him for Christmas, I ran across these. An hour or so later of reading comments and reviews and just about anything else I could find on the internet about these, I made the purchase. I had no idea at the time that he had already been thinking of buying one. His face on Christmas morning couldn't have been more priceless! He opened so many gifts worth 5-10 x's the amount this cost me and yet it was this little baby that brought him to smile from ear to ear!
I don't have any personal use with this, but he says its great. He can do more with this than with gloves alone.

Better get one.

Yeah, unless you want to use mig gloves to tig weld, you should have one of these. I'm a beginner, and I still would be feeling the heat with the minimal amount of welding I am doing if I didn't have this. I tried it at first without, and soon was reaching for the finger!
