Best caramels I have ever tried! Smooth, soft, buttery, with just the right amount of salt. Only drawback is that you can't stop eating them.

OMG... I know they don't need any more great reviews! No, I was not given anything for free, and this is an unbiased review. I did, in fact, purchase a bag of caramels for 30 bucks (can u believe it??) and will most definitely be purchasing them again! I will do my best to ration myself to one bag every other month.... we'll see how that goes!! I do believe that these are the best caramels I've ever eaten. I LOVE the salt you can taste (and sometimes crunch!) in the caramels!! What a concept... sea salt caramels in which you can taste the salt!! YUMMY!!!!

I was given some of these Caramels for Christmas last year and was surprised to find that them to be one of the best cadies I have every had. I then went in search of soft caramels with sea salt throughout the mid-Atlantic area -- without chocolate. Finally gave up and then thought of checking out Amazon. And there they were!! Wow, I am a person who would normally never eat caramel but my son told me that he tried a caramel with salt and it was very good. I went online not knowing what brand he bought and seen the reviews so I purchased this one. This was not the caramel he tried and he says this one is way better. I love it so much that I ordered five pounds more, because the 24 oz did not last when you give people it to try and your family is eating them. I found my knew favorite candy. For people who know real food when they eat it, this is for you. You can taste the butter and the sweetness with the salty is perfect. They don't stick to your teeth. If you are looking for a gift for a candy person or someone who likes sweets, they will love you if you give them this.

Perhaps the very best caramels that I have ever had were the French Fleur de Sal, which have become almost impossible to find in the United States. They are made with a very fine unrefined sea salt found on the French coastal region that makes a miraculous difference when made with quality caramel that is made with butter. Fleur de Sel means "Flower of the Ocean."
After searching for Fleur de Sal caramels on Amazon, I came across this product, which is amazingly similar. They have a buttery taste that is simply not found in cheap caramels. This is a quality product, and it adds a Celtic sea salt, Upon further investigation, I learned that Fleur de Sel comes from what is also called Celtic Sea Salt. No wonder this product is so very good. Best caramels I have found in the United States, though I admit to not trying the top rated caramels as written in a magazine article, that are made by artisan caramel makers in the United States. Their prices were quite high, due in large part to shipping of small quantities, but I am perfectly happy with this product, it is so very similar to the French product that I previously ordered.
