Good clarity and for the price I keep a spare in my trailer. Perfect.
Steve C•July 16, 2017
I have this on the back of my car hauler connected via wifi to an iPad mini on suction cup mounted to my windshield. It is on constantly while towing on the higway, providing a fantastic rear view I would not otherwise have. Not having the grid lines is perfect for always on rear view functionality. (Enclosed trailer blocks my rear view mirror.) I run it with this wifi bridge: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011BDY7XA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This system has been functioning for me for nearly 2 years, mostly trouble free. It does lose connectivity sometimes in areas of high interference, and can be slow to start up, sometime requiring a reset but overall I like it, especially for the price. I got another one for a spare, camera too. For a grand total of roughly $60 for the entire system it has been fantastic. Recommended.

Great product for the price

I wanted this camera to go with a wireless wifi transmitter so I could hook up an inexpensive rear view camera on my travel trailer. I have been very happy with the result. The video quality is sufficient for my purpose-knowing when there is traffic directly behind me and being able to see if I have enough clearance for lane changes. The only caution I have is you need to get used to the fact cars are closer than they appear until you get used to the view, which doesn't take long. I monitor the video on my iPad and saved hundreds over a packaged rear view system.
Good quality and low-profile backup camera
James Moreno•May 24, 2017
I bought this unit specifically because it did not have the built-in guidelines and its low-profile. I already have a backup unit that gives me adjustable guidelines.
The camera has been great so far and has even impressed me as to its day and night quality. It's quite easy to install, although I did opt to use 3M double-sided hanging pads (not included) to avoid drilling into the vehicle.

It works fantastic for my purpose

Bought this for a backup camera to mount on the trailer hitch receiver so I can see to line up my trailer by myself without having to get out and check my alignment. It works fantastic for my purpose! It has really good picture quality during the day, and a decent picture at night. My old camera had night vision and was much better at nighttime, but the old camera was also bigger and a lot more noticeable on my truck. Besides, the reverse lights on my truck light up the area plenty good enough to line up my trailer or even just back out of my driveway, and again, this camera is much smaller without the night vision lights, so no one will ever even notice it mounted on my hitch. It looks great, works awesome, it's cheap and so far it has held up to the weather. I couldn't ask for more =)
Update: good camera! First one was a defective unit

Updated review: customer service reached out to me pretty much immediately, and within a week or so I got a replacement camera in the mail. The new one is great! The picture is clear and instalation was easy. I would give it 5 stars if the first one wasn't a dud.
Original review: Is this the place for customer support? I can't find a customer service number for esky.
I got this camera for my 2006 F150, I'm using a pioneer AVH-X3800BHS head unit. I initially got power/ground for the camera from the reverse light. After installing everything, the head unit was not showing anything (except a solid black screen) when I put the vehicle in reverse, and/or when I switched it to "camera view mode". I plugged in a dvd player to the same RCA input leading to the head unit and the DVD showed on the screen, thus showing the problem is not with the head unit or input line. To make 100% sure the camera was getting power, I wired a wire directly from the battery to the camera and still got nothing when the vehicle was in reverse.
I think my camera is defective. Hopefully customer support can assist me. Thank you.
