Also because the freezer adds a little moisture so when heated the mitts will have a moist feel to them but you may mist with water before heating to get the desired level of moist heat.

These work great when I give my mom her manicure and do her gel nails. We just need to heat them for 1 min 30 or less since we have a more powerful microwave. 2 minutes was too hot. My kid liked them because he used them on his feet of all places when his feet were cold! Very clever!

You do have to play around with how long to heat them, depending on your microwave's power. On humid days they heat more, so use with caution. But they really help, especially if I wake up with stiff hands. I have arthritis and a recently broken finger, and these give me back my flexibility.

These are large gloves that definitely cover the hand well. They do get very cold but that cold doesn't last long. If they retained their temperature longer, I'd give 5 stars.
