Great plant, horrible shopping
Drew T.•May 30, 2017
Very nice established plant with plenty of roots, foliage, and a nice sprinkling of river pebbles, and one big stone above a bed of soil. I thought the pot was going to be brown but it was black, not a big issue.
I ordered this 5 days ago and was promised overnight 1 day shipping, and the item arrived today late afternoon when there was little to so sunlight left in the day. If this is a fault of the shipper or Amazon I'm not sure, but for the record it's cruel to suffocate a live plant for that long.
I've read other reviews before I ordered this plant and I must say, most of the negative reviews didn't apply to me. This is a beautiful plant, well established, woody trunk, nice pot, and vigilant roots.
I'll post some pics a few days from now of the plant I recieved. Assuming I can combat the damage done to it by being restricted from air water and sunlight for 4 days.

It came very nicely package. It obviously does not look exactly like the picture but it does have very nice branches and a good trunk. I think if I trim it a little I could get it to look exactly like the picture. The bowl is different, mine is blue and the they gave me way to many rocks. It over fills the bowl. Not a bad thing just needed to adjust it a bit so they would not fall out. It is only day 1 but it is doing good. I have done my reading on Bonsai and am hoping to keep this little guy healthy. If you are looking for a good semi cheap beginner Bonsai you found the right one. Check back in a month or two for update.
Dead

Died in a month. Watered it regularly, put it in sun. It died. Lots of bugs came from it as well. Soil disappeared as well. Not healthy tree at all.
Pretty bonsai

Lovely little bonsai, but hard to water as the soil is very hard and tight packed so water rolls off instead of getting absorbed. We will keep it as it is doing well but may have to trsplant it.
Not at all what it was supposed to be!

It is absolutely not what the picture looks like or even remotely like it. It is extremely little and fragile...I'm not even sure if it's a tree at all. You can pull it right of the rocks that it came with. Extremely little. I really do not know how long it will last, it's that fragile and flimsy.
