You have to know how to use this product if you don't you will burn your skin !!! I suggest putting on with a brush and Vaseline around your eyes , nose and mouth . It's very very strong I actually burned the edge of my nose . After applied wait 10 minutes and carefully apply cold water to areas wear product was placed . This will cool your burning skin down . This is a professional product not to be messed with unless you really know what you are doing

I use this often for my stretch marks. I dont use it in my face for fear of burning. When I used it alone I did discover that it didnt work, but ai mixed it with a lesser amount of Lactic acid and I peeled very well. I am African American mixed. For anyone that has problems with peeling, mix it with Lactic acid.

Don't use this longer than directed. It's potent. I haven't used it enough to see major results. After I use it, my skin is sensitive so I have to allow my skin to heal up before another use. After a bad phase of acne, and putting my skin through a tough time with acne medication to resolve the problems, I had lots of dull skin and acne scars. I researched glycolic acid, and debated where to purchase from and what strength. I ultimately went to my trusted Amazon for the source, and the strongest percentage. Here's why:
-I trust Amazon Prime for a quick delivery and to resolve any issues if I encounter them
-It's just distilled water and glycolic acid in this solution; I can lower the percentage with diluted water to fit my needs and stretch my dollar
If this is your first time to glycolic acid, you NEED to dilute it to prevent a chemical burn! It's sad to see some reviewers who reported burns - this stuff is strong, but it's advertised to be (there's warning all over the product too). Mix equal amounts of the product and equal amounts of distilled water = 35%; take that solution and add equal amounts of water = 17.5%; one more time, and you're at about 9%. Anything below 10% is fine for using overnight. When you start to creep towards 20% or higher, you're doing a chemical peel, and should neutralize (baking soda and water) and wash it off. Start at a low percentage, and work your way up. Since you're diluting it (I put it in a small glass bottle with a dropper), you'll have plenty of product to make it stronger as you build up to it. I'll include my routine below as well.

Routine:
LEAVE-ON
1. Put lotion or eye cream on your eyes and around them
2. Mix half of the 17.5% acid (I keep a bottle already diluted) with equal parts of moisturizer and apply this to my face avoiding the immediate eye area
3. Let the glycolic acid mixture from above sit on your skin for a few minutes (while you brush your teeth, or tackle a few items around the house)
4. Apply a really good moisturizer (and oil on top if you use it) to keep your skin plump and to seal everything in (you can even use a sheet mask here before applying a night-time moisturizer)
**Note: I'm careful about serums on these nights since mixing certain products can cause irritation or cancel out effectiveness
PEEL:
1. Wash your face really well
2. Wipe your face down with an astringent (goal is to remove all oils for even application later)
3. Use diluted solution (remember, you can start low and work your way up over time) and apply all over - you'll experience some burning feeling (if it's really bad, this is your body telling you it's had enough, so listen to it); the amount of time you leave it on depends on how much you can handle, but limit to around 3 minutes
4. Neutralize the acid on your face with a mixture of water and baking soda; this will also burn while that reaction is happening on your face
5. Rinse/Wash it all off
6. Apply heavy moisturizing serums, lotions, oils
