I have used these gloves on a regular basis for about a year. They have exceeded my expectations. Perfect for handling hot rotisseries, or handling a hot roast or turkey right from the oven. They are easy clean-up using soap and water just like washing your hands. I recently punctured the thumb while carving a turkey. I emailed the company, explained by error and wanted to purchase only one replacement glove. Natalie from customer service promptly responded and informed me that the lifetime warranty covers any issue, and she would send a new pair out right away at no cost to me. Such customer service exceeded my expectations! I am delighted to continue to use these gloves and recommend them to anyone. Thank you Jolly Green Products for a great product and a solid warranty.
Great cumbersome, heat-proof, giant mitts

I can get my fat hands to fit into the XXL gloves - yay! The rubber is fairly thick. They are great for removing pork butts out of a smoker or transferring large pieces of meat from the oven to a cutting board (for example). The texture on the gloves is great & prevents the loss of a slippery $100 brisket to the deck. The fingers will bend (sort of), but I wouldn't use these for hand-pulling pork or anything that requires the use of finger dexterity (I would use glove liners with thick surgical type gloves over the liners). I also bought some different gloves that are similar to Mechanics gloves, but they have a very thin coating of silicone rubber on the palm side of the gloves. Those fit great, but they don't provide as much protection from heat as these Ekogrips do. These would also be good for quickly moving very hot items, like metal grates, although I wouldn't trust them to pick up glowing metal or hot coals for more than a second or two. Very easy to wash & don't seem to discolor or stain easily.

I love these things, and Jolly Green Products is great to work with. The XL are *really* XL. I'd borrowed a friend's for a long time and was finally getting my own, and thought the ones I borrowed were XLs. But when actual XLs showed up, they were comically large. So I mailed JGP, and they sent me the "one size fits most" set, which did and we love. Could not be happier with this company and these gloves.
For day-to-day cooking I prefer Aicok oven mitts because they're more comfortable. But for grilling, you cannot beat Ekogrips. You just pick up the food and move it. Get 'em covered in sauce and it's fine. They go in the dishwasher. I even pick up hot grill grates with these. They're not Space Shuttle tiles or anything. I do have to slip them off from time to time when they overheat and my hands get a little warm. But there's nothing that's too hot to grab for a few seconds and move with these on. And the washability makes them far more versatile than the welder's gloves I used to used.
There are a lot of cheaper versions out there, and they're ok for a while. But these are the ones you want for the long haul.

I've had these for a few weeks and have already used them on the Kamado grill to pull ribs and with a fish cooker to do a Low Country Boil. They have also been used as regular oven mitts several times.
Non slip and no transferred heat at all on dry hot items. The boiling water from the Low Country boil was also no problem at all; just warm while dumping the food in the strainer from the fish cooker that was on a full rolling boil moments before. I felt some heat while holding a colander to drain spaghetti but, again, no problem at all to hold onto the very hot colander while draining the spaghetti.
The full five fingers of the gloves makes it much easier to manipulate anything you need to handle that's hot. Clean up is easy too.

This seems to be of good quality, but in practice it is not easy to handle items when wearing these. I suppose it's a matter of fit. If it fits more "like a glove", then you'll have better control of carrying things. It it wears big, then you feel like you'll drop things. So this sits on the rack while the old-fashioned cloth oven mittens gets used.
