Fits the bill for securing cables on my car's bike rack.

So far, so good -- used for securing two "looped-end cables" to a hitch mounted bike rack on my car. The rack has a 1/2" hole that this lock's bolt fills nicely, and there's enough room left over for the two cable loops to take up the remaining space.
With this setup, I'm fairly confident the lock is not the weak point my theft deterrence.
For what it's worth, the bolt slides very smoothly without any twisting or pressure. It latches easily with the key, and utilizes a detent to prevent the bolt from sliding all the way out of the shackle.
Having four keys included is pretty awesome.

May Discourage Local "Oppportunists"

Lock works as a lock. Seems like it would be more difficult to saw into to break open and the key system is non-standard so picking the lock would probably exclude your local opportunists/thieves. Of the two that i have purchased, one has been out in the weather for about a year and the chrome has held up perfectly.
Weak against bolt cutters

I bought this expecting a hardened steel lock that, as is stated, is very difficult to cut with bolt cutters. First night of use it was cut off with bolt cutters and my motorcycle was gone, they could barely make a mark in my hardened steel security chain when they tried to cut that but this lock looks like this lock was cut with ease. I would avaoid this product and get something stronger if you have security in mind.

If you are looking for a secure lock this is not it. I was able to defeated this lock with just a screw driver and a small hammer very quickly. None of the disks contained any false gates so picking resistance is likely very low. Much better locks are available for the same money. Photos show the guts of this lock. The wire clip retaining the disks and lock mechanism is the weak link. See photos for more details. I also discovered youtube videos exploiting the same design flaws of similar locks; Google "Defeating Chinese Disc Detainer Locks"
The lock does NOT fit a 3/8 chain; I didn't give this product a "bad" rating because otherwise it works great.

NOTE: This lock does NOT fit a 3/8 chain Campbell Chain 040541215 3/8" X 15 FT Grade 100 Alloy Chain Bright. I just wanted to let others know. I didn't give this product a "bad" rating because otherwise it works great. You can buy 2 locks and get them all keyed alike. I did knock off a star because I would have preferred for the lock to be "bigger" in size. Although, it's durable, it's a bit too small and it didn't fit in the chain I had. I opted to get a larger chain size and a different kind of lock.
