i have had these for 5 months and I LOVE THEM!!! I am buying more. Don't let the price fool you, they are very heavy duty and I expect these will last years! I use mine daily and groan when I have to use the wooden ones. We have rogue winds here and these hold anything up without a problem. I highly recommend them.

I am back to buy the non-coloured peg, because it is less expensive by $5. but I know I will be back for more coloured ones soon.

Get Serious About Line Drying

My deck gets lots of wind which is perfect for line drying sheets, towels and laundry. The only problem is that when the wind gets gusty, stuff blows away down the hill into a cow pasture. I used to buy wooden clothes pins with the stoutest springs I could find to make sure they would hold but often the pins themselves would twist apart. These steel pins were not cheap, and I got the red ones to boot, (the colors cost a bit more than the plain steel) but I am very pleased with my purchase. I will never need to replace them, unlike the wooden kind, so they are an investment that will pay for themselves over the years. I love the smell of my air dried laundry, the crispness of the fabric and the wrinkle free effect a good stiff breeze imparts. I suspect I'll be getting another set of these ( there are 20 in the set) to replace all my wood ones in time.

Extreme Colour Clothespins are metal clothespins. Although the size was given, they were smaller than I expected. The clothespins have a strong central spring, and the loops at the tips accommodate the clothes line and the garment. I ordered these because I launder bedding and hang it on a clothesline. I figured the metal clothespins would have a stronger grip when breezes are more gusting. I hung two damp pillows with them, and 4 per pillow seemed enough. The style of the pins is somehow retro old and modern. I could see some stark office with black and white pins holding artistic objects. Or using the multi colours to hang a nice quilt. They seem that versatile. Although they seemed pricey to me, I could get a ton of wooden pins for the price, I decided to go ahead, as they should last a very long time. I like the fact they will not mildew if left overnight on the line, because the heavier items may need to hang that long.
