I've actually purchased this case twice. The first time was 2 years ago when I bought my Chromebook, and the second time was about 2 weeks ago, when I accidentally snapped one of the retractable feet off of the first case against a very dense text book.
When I bought my Chromebook 2 years ago, I got this case and some decorative stickers to style it up. The case is easy to install; just snap it on while paying special attention to the corners. The transparency of the case is just fine and I can see all of my decorative stickers through it. I've never had a problem with the case sliding off, cracking, or getting scratched. The only thing that became worn on the first case was the retractable feet, because I used them a lot as I like the height they provide. I use my Chromebook a lot for school and when traveling, and the first case took a lot of abuse, being pulled in and out of a crammed book bag full of heavy text books on a near daily basis. As I said earlier, the only reason I even replaced it is because one of the little feet finally lost a battle with a large textbook :)

This case is awesome! GO CLEAR! I got it to show off the chromebook. DO IT! You won't regret it. Do not get the other colors unless you want your laptop to look like a toy (just like a fellow reviewer said). I got a skin on it and LOOKS REALLY COOL! I'll help everyone out with some pictures because I don't find the seller's pictures very helpful.
As you can see there is a skin on the front cover. It's the Black 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber DINOC Flex Wrap CA-421 24"x12" right here on Amazon. I cut a piece of the carbon fiber wrap to match the size of the front cover, placed it on top and used an X-Acto knife and carefully cut. The side angle pictures show that all USB ports and connections are easily accessible. Nothing is blocked. The underside has ventilation holes for airflow, kick-on stands and 2 clear rubber feet installed to keep the chromebook steady while using. For extra precaution, I placed 2 pieces of black electrical tape to keep it more sturdy just to make sure.
My chromebook is the Acer C740 4GB and with the help from CoolStar from the chrultrabook sub reddit page, I got Windows 10 fully functional and working on my C740. Battery life is around the same performance like original stock with only ChromeOS. Anyways, I strongly recommend the clear case. GO FOR IT!

Been using this for a few months now on the (C720) Acer Chromebook I got from Walmart, here's what I've found:
1) It fits perfectly, covers the top really well (have spilled a few liquids on it and it protected well. The bottom has lined gaps for better ventilation as well as these hidden kickstands if you want the option to elevate your laptop on a table surface.) 2) It has not fallen off, even after a fall, it stayed on snug. 3) It is actually clear ( not ghostly white or anything, it's just clear and looks nice. Overall a fantastic product, I see myself using it for years to come on this Chromebook, thanks.

I bought this for my Acer C720 when I noticed that it was getting scratched up from being in my bookbag. I didn't really need something that would provide drop protection since I usually carried it about in a bag and try to take care of my electronics so I was really just looking for some cosmetic protection. This case has done the job quite well. I've had it on my chromebook since I got it and haven't had any problems with it. I did actually break the top-left piece on the bottom portion when putting in on (I'll admit user error) but that actually has had a minimal impact. It still stays on except in rare occasions and performs its job. If it comes down to it, I'd just buy this cover again because it was a great price and it offers the protection I need.
No more: "Mooooommmm, she took MY laptop!"

Good case. Doesn't really add a whole lot of protection, but I wasn't expecting it to. Gives my Kids' chromebooks a little scratch protection and adds just enough color (they're not completely opaque- they add a sort of "frosted" color) that they can identify their chromebooks from a distance (identical chromebook, different color cases for each kid). Thick enough to be durable, thin enough that it doesn't add noticeable bulk.
Fit the Acer C720 perfectly, and has stayed on without a problem since I put them on six months ago. So far no chips or cracks visible.
The kids like them, and they do what I wanted them to do- which is to prevent sibling squabbles that start with: "Moooooommmm! SHE TOOK MY LAPTOP!". No such bickering here, because the colors make it easy to tell them apart.
