This item is, as it says, a small sample of the "Italian White Carrara Marble Polished 12x12..." and not the actual 12"x12" square my ex thought she was ordering. Fortunately, an employee with Amazon somehow caught the mistake and was able to stop this order and make the necessary changes to insure I got what I indeed wanted. A BIG Thank You for that service!!!
I ordered the product for an unusual, I think, use. I had a marble floor already installed in a bath but had made no plans for a baseboard. (Must be a guy thing.) But this did not look good, as you might imagine. The marble on the floor was a very unique piece that basically consisted of black, white and grey. My ex suggested that I take pieces of these items (12"x12" squares) and cut each of them into 3 - 4"x12" pieces and use them as a baseboard. Needless to say, the idea worked out perfectly and looks GREAT!!!
