Been using a few months now, ready to write a review. I have been using Zojirushi thermos for few years & they are solidly made, pretty.
Their problem in general are they are LEAKY. They always leak pouring the tea. This one is no exception. Always messes my table pouring. Esp. this model doesn't come with a cup, so I had to carry extra cup which is a real PAIN. I been having high opinion of Japanese products but this is SUBstandard, too expensive for its quality, It is NOT excusable to have leaky thermos. I decided to buy one from Isosteel, a German product, well made, solid, no LEAKs whatsoever & corries with a cup ! I definitely do not recommend this Zojirushi thermos bottles !

Simple, one-handed operation. Spill proof. Leak proof. Easy to drink from without drops or dribbles. Keeps liquids cold/hot for an amazing amount of time. What's not to like?

I have never been happy with any of the myriad thermos bottle/travel mugs I have been given.This one is entirely different and eliminates the negatives I found with those others. It's a brilliant piece of design. (The instructions are in Japanese -- but the design is so brilliantly intuitive you won't need them.)

I ordered three -- two to be given as gifts. I am now ordering two more, also to be given as gifts. I can't imagine there's anyone who would not be pleased to own one of these.

This is the best design insulated water bottle on the market in my opinion. I start off every workday by putting 3-4 ice cubes in the bottle and then filling it with refrigerated filtered water. Some days I will forget and leave the bottle at home and let it sit until the next morning AND IT STILL HAS ICE!!! I carry this with me everywhere: to work, going out for food, grocery shopping, school, gym, you name it. This is a true 5/5 star product, fantastic work Zojirushi. The biggest draw back to this, or any flip cap water bottle, is that the lid gets moldy over time and requires regular cleaning. You must clean the lid (o-ring/seal, mouth piece, and cap) which involves a short and simple disassembly roughly every 3-4 weeks IF you only drink water. If you put any sort of sweet liquid like tea, Gatorade, hot cocoa. etc. you'll want to clean it every 2 weeks. This product works very well and I have bought some as gifts for friends and they love it.

My wife uses this cup daily for a year. Great little cup but now we notice mold under the clip where you click to open. No way to reach it to clean it all out. We wash it by hand and air it dry every night. Would be perfect cup if they can solve the mold problem.

I've been looking for a nice, high quality, insulated mug for a long time in stores. Never found one that I genuinely enjoyed. I didn't think until recently "Why not shop online?" and I am so glad that I did. I know Zojirushi makes good products - my mom has used the same bread maker for over 10 years. However, I never knew they made insulated travel mugs. After comparing their numerous models and sizes, I decided on this one. It's got everything I wanted and more. It springs open nicely, it can click back extra so it won't bump your nose or flop around, it has a matte finish, a non-stick coating on the inside to make it easier to clean, a comfortable drinking lip, a part for air to flow back into the bottle to prevent gurgling (or uneven flow), it's easy to take apart, etc. I feel like I could go on and on. I'm so happy with this! I'd absolutely buy another one. It's already kept ice for several hours, which is something no cup of mine has ever been able to do before, and I'd bet it could hold it even longer than that.
