WORTH. EVERY. PENNY!

Okay... judge all you want... I'm clearly not above bribery, or making "dinner fun"... but I got my boy to eat all his onions and green peppers!! A whole deconstructed fajita. He's eaten fish, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, salad and anything I fill on the plate. He eats it in order of the game path too. 😂
Ever since I got this plate, I have gotten him to eat everything!! Even the "no! I hate deez things" get eaten.
Whoever invented this "game plate", the "hidden prize box" at the end was BRILLIANT! Having the prize within reach, but not knowing what it is, changes out of the "no dessert if you don't eat" rhythm.
I accidentally ordered this, thinking it was a two pack, and probably wouldn't have paid what I did for one without knowing the awesomeness and dinnertime ease it would create.
WORTH. EVERY. PENNY.
The first time, he asked for another filled plate ONLY if he got another prize 😂, finished that, and asked for a third! He calls everyone in to see the "reveal". It really is "the little things". Haha

I just posted this same *review* with pics to my FB, and had to add the link because all of my friends needed it!
Works!

I have trouble getting my three year old child to eat her dinner. I was skeptical at first that she would just go for the prize at the end, but I explained the game to her, cheered her on the first few times and amazingly she eats everything and asks to play again and again. Asparagus, peas, broccoli - things she would normally leave untouched she is eating with enthusiasm! she is so proud if herslef when she 'wins'. I have run it through the dishwasher multiple times already and so far no fading of the colors has occurred. My daughter enjoys the fun design (we got the super hero one). I usually put a square of Hershey's chocolate or a hershey kiss at the end. Would buy this as a gift for a picky eater or a child like mine that just picks at her food normally.
Why won't my kids just eat their fkng dinner?

I guess it depends on the kid.

My five year old thought this was the coolest thing ever. He ate everything on the plate without the usual 45 minute debate, bargaining, crying etc.

My eighteen month old also thought it was cool, and played a fun game of making little piles of food in each box, mushing the food up, transferring to another box, making a new pile, moving it again etc. He ate precisely zero of the fish sticks I so lovingly prepared. Not one solitary pea, declared "nooooo" to the tater tots.

I eventually gave up and made the 'Meal of Last Resort', aka grilled cheese sandwich. He took two bites, and then threw the rest on the floor, where it landed in a pool of milk which had been dripping from the cup he'd tossed down nonchalantly a minute earlier.

"Do you want a yogurt?" I asked, growing in desperation. Big nods. He took one look before declaring: "All done!" to the untouched, organic yogurt which are like a dollar each.

"Coco Krispies?" I pleaded, now willing to give him anything to avoid him waking up hungry in the night. He took a few bites at least, but hardly enough. I gave up, put the ungrateful little brat in his bubble bath, then bed, then wine.

I am living in a real life Groundhog Day, just replace the fun snowball fights and romance with hardened Cheerios stuck to the wall and poop.

Where do I pick up my Mother of the Year award?

Anyhow, to sum up: very nice idea, the plate is nicely made, and my kids' dinnertime routine is destroying my will to live.
great quality melamine

Really cute plate, great quality melamine. It's a great concept, and so I'm rating it highly, but it didn't work so well for us.
It did help a little with my son's picky eating habits but not much. It helped him to eat the foods he doesn't love but will eat if we make him, but it definitely did not get him to try anything new, and actually brought more attention to the "new" food on his plate. A few other cons - first, the compartments are quite small so you have to cut everything into bite size pieces. If your kid already eats a whole piece of pizza, you will be going backwards in terms of eating skills. Second, while a great concept, it's also a little odd to basically be determining exactly how much your kid needs to eat - what if they are not as hungry one day? You end up forcing a certain quantity. And third, we now end up giving my kid a sweet dessert at every dinner, which he never got before. He becomes so focused on the surprise at the end that he won't really eat all his food, and constantly asks for his "surprise", so we end up doing the whole you-have-to-eat-X-amount to get a treat anyway. It's painful. We are going back to a regular plate with fruit for dessert.
All this being said I think it's worth a try as you never know what will work for your picky eater.
What a fantastic idea!!! Thank you!!!

SUCCESS!!! 14 year old aspie - high functioning was "intrigued." Spinach leaves (tolerated), baked fish sticks (preferred), baked fries (very preferred), mandarin oranges (tolerated) and three Hershey kisses, (Favorite thing to eat!) Verdict? He ate everything in order, left only one spinach leaf, never sneaked a peek at the dessert until he was done and was psyched! I have been trying to introduce a fruit and veggie DURING a meal instead of at other times during the day. Wish this also came with bigger food spots for older kids but it was super cool!!! THANK YOU for this amazing product!
