I have been living in the Tropics for some years now and miss the taste of good fresh mashed potatoes so I thought I would give these a try. Man was I impressed! Great flavor and texture. Another box is on order now.

My family can't tell the difference between these and freshly peeled, cooked and mashed potatoes. To me, they taste better. These come in a study milk carton type of storage container, and there's a lot of servings per box. Very easy to prepare.

Idahoan Real Mashed Potatoes are the best i have ever tired !!!! Easy to cook too. Family and friends loves it! i also add some bacon bits or chicken gravy to it to spike up the flavor. i was also able to make nyoki with this. My favorite carbs in a box!

This has been my easy, in a pinch, go to side dish for meals. There are days when I need to do this instant deal and this makes it easy for my son to help with dinner while I do the complicated stuff like making the rest of it happen. I can depend on Grandma to help with this because she is not a cook at all and so with these easy to follow directions, bam. Dinner is served, hot and ready. Helps to have these handy side dishes when potatoes can easily go bad like in the summer months. We like to have this with chicken or with steak. Tastes really good when you add a tablespoon of sour cream into the mix. Also great with finely diced scallions and crumbled bacon. Good stuff. I recommend and will buy again.

These are wonderful to have on hand. Not only are they great mashed potatoes, but just the smallest amount will save nearly any dish that's a bit too runny, with little to no change in the taste, as well as give great body to vegetable soups. For this reason, as well as impulsively making a small batch for a snack, now and again, I much prefer to have the large container rather than the packets, so a small amount can be scooped out whenever needed.

The container is nicely conservation-minded, and is really just a gallon cardstock milk carton. While pulling a gallon-sized zip-lock bag top-down over the whole container seals it reasonably well, I wanted something a bit less kludgy for long-term use. I searched a long time before finding what turned out to be a perfect fit: Klip It 1250 Bakery Storage with Measure Cup. This container holds the entire brand new box of potatoes as if it had been specifically designed to do just that. It's also very well made, and reasonably priced.

Buy the potatoes. Buy the container. You'll be glad you did, I know I'm glad I did. :O)
