Good enough for light usage but useless trackpad.
Brian Moore•December 1, 2017
This mini keyboard is overall decent. It is about the size of a small tv remote. The keyboard is fully featured with some extra functions like volume control. However, it isn't without it's issues. The keys aren't offset like a typical keyboard, instead being on a grid pattern. This takes a bit of getting used to. The trackpad is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. This imprecision isn't helped by adjusting mouse sensitivity within the OS. Moving the mouse across the screen takes several swipes. If you don't do it perfectly, it can register the next swipe as a click which is annoying. Also there is this weird movement where lifting your finger off the pad causes the pointer to jump up a tiny bit. This makes it impossible to click small things like the X on a window.
However the biggest complaint I have is the weak wireless. Unless the receiver and keyboard have a direct line of sight, it will constantly lose connection. Even with thatit's still somewhat spotty. Right now my receiver is within line of sight and about 6ft away and I lost connection typing this review about 10 times. If anything is in the way typing is useless.
Final thought; For a cheap, tiny wireless keyboard it's ok. The trackpad is next to useless. Use a mini mouse instead, like the Logitech M187. Make sure the dongle is nearly level with where the keyboard is used from (not on the ground or behind a tv) and is within 10ft (farther than that and mine dropped connection completely). Typing long things like this isn't recommended but it's possible. This unit is good enough for an HTPC but don't expect to painlessly write a paper with it.

This does exactly what I wanted it to do. It's a little smaller your average TV remote, weighs basically nothing, and has reasonable battery life. Seems pretty tough, surprisingly (held up well after a few drops). Trackpad is fine to use and supports tap-click, like most laptops, as well as the two mouse buttons. Battery charges quickly and is internal so no need to worry about buying AA's constantly.
Would give 4.5/5 if I could. My only two gripes -
1)The keyboard sometimes seems to go to sleep with no inputs after 20/30 minutes. This is (I assume) to save battery, and is something I've seen on other wireless KB/Mice before. Not really a deal breaker, just switch it off/on and keep rolling. Would be nice to have an option to disable.
2)It needs either a second, right side shift key, or a one-character sticky shift function like most phones have.
Seriously, though, don't let these little things deter you. If you're looking for a pocket keyboard that's not Bluetooth, this is the choice. It's a bonus that it's dirt cheap, too, because this little guy blows several more expensive units out of the water. If you actually need something to do this job (like I did), get it. If you just want something for a home media set up, to be a fun little toy, or to play a prank on a coworker (also like I did), then the low price makes this a no brainier. Stop reading. Add to cart.

Device works fine, but is wayyyyy smaller than what the page has listed for dimensions. I was expecting a 7x4x1 wireless keyboard because that's what the page says, but instead got a 6x2x0.75 mini keyboard. It's about the size of my palm and far too tiny and clumsy to use on a regular basis. If you're looking for something small, hen get it. But if you are like me and looking for something wirlesss and usable by someone with normal sized hands, don't buy. I will be returning and finding a larger wireless solution.

We ordered this in March 2016, and it is currently January 2017 (almost a year now of use). It's a great little device! I like the small size, as it can fit near my bed with the other remotes and not take up a huge chunk of space nor be unwieldy in a limited space. The trackpad can be a tad wiggy at times (too sensitive at some moments, and not sensitive enough at others - and yes, I have played with the sensitivity controls via Control Panel on my computer), but overall, it works just fine. Due to the unpredictability of the trackpad, I gave 4 instead of a full 5 stars, but it really is a great little device. Its charge lasts a loooonnng time, I don't even know how long, as I go weeks, even months, in between charging - caveat to that is, I do not use it constantly. I turn it on to start up my computer media center for Netflix viewing, once I have everything going, show chosen and playing, I turn it off (it does have a sleep mode, but I find turning it on from off is faster than waking it up from sleep). I will turn it on to use it if need be to switch shows or pause shows or when it is time to turn off the computer. So, I actually use it very little - but for what I need it for, it does well. I have used it as a (typing) keyboard a few times with that same computer when needing to search for things. It does a good job and responds to the keys very well. I wouldn't be able to *easily* type up long essay style things (like this review) on it, due to size (thumb typing is not a skill I have developed very well), but then, I didn't buy it for such a reason. Basically, as a "remote control" device that is used to control a computer media center, it is perfect!
so plenty of casemod/3d print files for such projects as micro-laptops an the like. Lots of libraries

As anyone that dabbles in Raspberry Pi, you would have at least seen this Rii wireless keyboard around. Everyone knows or has this in their dev kits to play around with. For the VERY little money, it does PRECISELY what you would expect. Fully PnP (Plug n Play) on the Raspberry Pi 3 mdl B. No issues whatsoever.
Pros: Minute
Plug n Play (PnP) with Raspbian an other OSes (w/Raspberry Pi 3 model B, as tested. Can confirm RPi 2 as well)
Lightweight (surprisingly so!), but solid. No creaks or bending. BONUS! - THANK you, Rii for NOT making it piano-black! (No fingerprints)
Extremely low-profile wifi dongle. 24mm long, but actual head is +/- 11.5mm.
Hugely popular wireless keyboard, so plenty of casemod/3d print files for such projects as micro-laptops an the like. Lots of libraries.
Saves on-board battery after 3 mins of idle.
Buttons have a nice tactile click-y feedback. Of course it's a membrane chicklet style, but responsive an positive.
IF you have the version with a laser pointer, I'm sure it works just fine. (I don't have function. Don't need)
Excellent battery life on a charge. No hardpoint hours/mins, but rarely do I have to charge the keayboard
Cons
No backlight. Perhaps next version. But I am NOT complaining for the pricepoint/function
Trackpad/mouse area SEEMS to be a bit heavy on the X axis. Noticeable discrepancy on the Y axis; i.e., faster up/down than left/right.
Note: I realize this can be adjusted in terminal, just pointing out PnP functionality. This is on MY unit, others may/can vary.
Many multimedia functions, one of which is a Function CTRL+ALT+DEL func....would rather this be a shortcut to Terminal. Far more useful
*MINOR GRIPE* - Only available in black in standard comms. There is a white version that is not interchangeable
*MINOR GRIPE 2* - There is a version of this keyboard/trackpad that has a laser pointer attached. I have no need, so didn't order it, but
the major overall case still provides this option dummied-out. (Same case, two models, no big deal, an doesn't interfere much, j/s,...
MINOR
Overall, I give this 4 out of 5. The last star could be resolved with even a simple lighting solution, a single LED, that could illuminate the handheld altogether.
This is a STAPLE for any Raspberry Pi tinkerer. Much like Dupont pins or tact switches, your arsenal of Pi gear just isn't complete without one.
HIGHLY recommended.
