bought out and ruined
Scott H. Irving•September 21, 2017
Thai Kitchen was bought out by Simply Asia and they ruined the product I used for over 5 years. They sent a 2nd case to replace and while it was better blended than the previous, It was still no where near as thick nor does it harden to the consistency of greek yogurt when you put it in the fridge to eat it that way. Amazon has way too many dishonest sellers now, as I see it.If you want good coconut milk, you might want to look for another brand. Thai kitchen is ruined.
Spoiled milk

While this purchase was made more than thirty days ago, we're still well within the use by date. However when I opened the first can it appeared a little gray. The next morning out of the refrigerator, it was definitely showing the pink of beginning mold. Thought it might be just that can so I tried a second. Same condition. I like to keep this type of non-perishables on hand but it doesn't work so well when it's bad cuz I'm past the Amazon return window. They might think about including food within the use by dates.
Good buy!

I typically use a different coconut milk, but the quality recently became very poor. Thus it was necessary to find another coconut milk product, as I able unable to digest dairy at present. I initially purchased this from my local grocery store. It is less expensive than many of the other organic coconut milk products. I was pleased with its use and decided to try ordering it in bulk. I have been very pleased with this purchase. The price was a nice value for the amount of cans received. The milk was not gray in color, like some customers have complained about. It has a lovely thick cream at the top, due to separation. I typically just use the cream for coffee and in other food recipes. Thai is not my favorite coconut milk, but it's a good replacement. And I've been more pleased with the purchase than I thought I would be...
Was inconsistent quality- now consistently poor quality

I used to buy this all the time. I subscribed to this, getting 18 cans per month. When I first started buying it, the quality was excellent. The top 2/3 of the can was the delicious solid coconut fat.
I would get a few cans that were watery, followed by the good quality coconut milk. Then back to the low quality runny sloppy mess. Even refrigerating it will not separate into the fat and liquid.
I do not know what has happened, but the last 3 cases have benn horrible quality. Plus, they spoil after only a few days in the fridge.
I will not be purchasing this again until they go back to the original quality.

Should not have changed the formula!

Changed formula means I no longer purchase this product. I had previously tried all the brands of canned coconut milk I could get my hands on. This brand -used- to make the best whipped coconut cream. Now it doesn't firm up when refrigerated. I tried turning down the temperature, putting the cans as far back and low down that I could, but still didn't work. I am now on a hunt for a new brand, again. Which is bad for the manufacturer , because I had 18 cans (yes, 18!) delivered via subscribe & save every month. And I used to recommend this brand. Not anymore! Changing the recipe was a BAD idea!
