Whenever money was tight and paying for the cable bill was not possible, we resorted to using a converter box paired with an over-the-air antenna. The antennae we had, however, was only adequate for a few local channels. Unfortunately, even with two antennae, we missed out on the CW and ABC channels. Next to CBS, these were the most watched channels in the household I resided; missing out on shows on the CW and ABC always got me upset when we were without cable.

Then, I discovered this antenna/amplifier set. This antenna/amplifier set not only changed my attitude for over-the-air television for the better, but it also provided the most efficient fix for our over-the-air deficiency problems.

First, to give you an idea at how effective this setup is, with an old antenna set up I only got a hold of a few local channels tops. I missed out on the CW and ABC, plus a myriad of other channels. With this new antenna/amplifier set, now I had access to the CW and ABC plus a whole ton of other over-the-air channels. In one instance, I was able to get over 60 channels; a number previously not thought to have been possible even with the previous set up.

Secondly, the slim profile of the antenna makes it ideal for placing in secluded areas; be wary of proper placement lest you lose signal strength. I even managed to take a cardboard box, cut some slots in it, and put the antenna in the slots to make the reach of the antenna greater.

Overall, this antenna has been my best friend for my over-the-air needs. Not only is it the most efficient option for cord cutters and over-the-air enthusiasts alike, but it's very powerful for the price. No other antenna set up comes close for indoor use. A must have, and well worth the $25 price tag.

I am an unbiased reviewer and not very big on writing reviews, but when I truly appreciate a product I feel I should say something.
Two years ago I decided to cut the cable which is an overly expensive and out of date delivery system for news and entertainment plus I was paying for a lot of channels I never watched. I switched to Amazon Prime and Netflix, which lets you add Premium channels like Showtime, HBO, and so on on a monthly basis, on and off as I wish. You'll never get that from cable. But my biggest concern was my local channels where I got my local news and entertainment.
I tried several of the cheaper digital antennas and was very disappointed. A friend recommended a Digital TV Antenna by 1byOne. I live about 25 miles from my local TV towers but he recommended the amplified 50 miles range antenna from 1byOne. Now it does make a difference where you set it up, just like any antenna. So I tested a few areas and one of them gave me reception equal to or better than what I use to receive on cable ... a beautiful clear HD picture and quality sound. I was amazed ... and I'm still amazed 2 years later. I am not associated with 1byOne and I do not know anyone who works for them. This is just a solid thumbs-up review of this product 2 years after I purchased it and still using it. By the way, this is the antenna I use for our main 65 inch SmartTV in the livingroom ... I bought a second one for our bedroom TV. Two years later and I'm still willing to write a glowing review for this 1byOne Amplified Digital Antenna - 50 mile range. You won't be dissappointed.
