I bought this used from Amazon and It didn't come with any accessories, cable to connect with computer for programming, ac adapter or manual. I was able to get the manual on line, bought an ac adapted but still need the computer cable. I could have gotten it all in a package from another sell, new, for around the same price I've spent!! Still i'm not able to pick up much even though i'm in a good size village just on the edge of Chicago. I must be doing something wrong!

A powerful scanner in a small package, I am liking it except for trying to program it. So far I've only been able to use the quick method of zip code and it worked fine in one location (east coast) but when I returned to the Southwest I don't seem to be getting the police channels like I did on the east coast. I cleared out the old channel and downloaded the channels for my new location but I am getting channels I am not much interested in and not the police.
All in all I got it to work correctly and I am happy with the range and clarity

This handheld scanner by Whistler is a digital one and it is the preferred one to use by those of us that work in the field. We trust this at home and to get us to the next call. I did experience a slight issue with the screwing on of the antenna. All in all I got it to work correctly and I am happy with the range and clarity.
Manual not accurate making it hard to program

Uograded my rating from 3 to 4. Took me 3 days to figure things out. But I am almost there. So while many may not get a this quickly it works nice once you get through the hurdles thanks to help from online forums. My original review follows -- Difficulty programming. Instructions in manual don't match the keys. For example there is no DEL key. Manual says it comes up as a softkey. It does not. I cannot restore to factory defaults as shown in the manual.

Great scanner with overwhelming options. Definitely follow the advice and join the scanner site and download the scans. It costs a few bucks and you don't have to renew after you have what you need. Makes it much easier.
