Simple, But I Use It More Than My $400 Scanner
Reverend Webster✓ Verified Purchase•December 8, 2017
I have a $400 scanner that has all the bells and whistles. Only problem is, programming it requires my laptop. Sure, I could do it by hand, but every time I try, I end up in some oddball mode that causes me to drop it back into my bag and pick up a paperback instead. This means it is really pretty useless to me anywhere other than around home.
This radio is now my go-to travel scanner. No bells and whistles. No funky modes. It picks up everything I want to listen to. It doesn't do digital or trunking, but if I get that serious about wanting that functionality, I'll drag out the laptop.

No luck yet

I do not live in a remote area but so far all I can get is weather. I hope I just didn't buy an $80 weather radio. I will update our posts another review if this gets any better.
I was disappointed in the sensitivity

I was disappointed in the sensitivity. Also a new set of fully charged 2200 ma batteries only lasted 4.5 hrs.
