Full Capability Without Breaking the Bank

I wanted to expand my capabilities into making blu-ray discs. This does the job. It is fully functional and reads many formats. Your choice of burning blu-rays depends on your programs. The ones that I have give me full functionality. However, we are discussing hardware. This is an easy swap out. Just remove your existing drive, plug it in, let windows recognize it, then go have fun. I recommend this product to anyone without reservation.

This burner works good I haven't installed the software.The drive had the corner chipped on it from shipping but for me it is behind a face plate so it will be ok for me.The packing should be improved so it can't bounce around so much.
Nero software is useless

Installed the Nero software and on putting in a dvd or blue ray it says must upgrade to the premium version to actually use blue ray player to watch blue ray movies. Microsoft discontinued support for dvds. Only option left is surfing the web for random third party software.
