There are so few cassette players anymore. The deal was right, the player clean (it was a used buy), and the packaging complete. Nothing special here. I listen to talk radio a couple of hours a day and the SONY radio volume control is wearing out. This will replace it.

Received this radio back in January and within 2 months the static was so bad you couldn't pick up/listen on any stations. This is a piece of junk. Do not waste your money.

I am giving it 2 stars instead of 5 because of the way it was shipped. I bought this to use for my daughter. Works as advertised so far with no issues. Has not eaten any of the tapes etc. However, we have only used it a couple of times. I was very surprised with the way it was shipped, though. They literally just threw a label on the actual box it was packaged in and mailed it. When it arrived, the box was damaged and opened, but the player thankfully was in one piece and still works. They could not even tape the ends shut....

Got as gift for my 86 yo father. He said his old radio/cassette player broke and he wanted to replace it. Called him the other day and he said this one was exactly what he wanted. Easy to use and good size.
Follow-up: The cassette player in this unit quit working after 6 months. Radio still works fine, but obviously this is not build to last.
