Good but not great.

I received this last June and was so impressed with the ease of installation and operation. Until last month when it stopped working. Took me a month to find the key so I could take it down, did that today and nothing looks wrong, batters in good shape Just no longer charge. Just a little frustrating to have to find another one probably a different manufacturer, take down the bracket and install a new one. I would call the manufacturer but Amazon doesn't list a contact. Be warned.
Good product based on my experience.

I have 3 of these. I bought 2 from a local hardware store several years ago. They are still working perfectly. Back then I paid about $25.00 each. They no longer carry them so I picked another from AMAZON. More than I wanted to pay, but still worth the price. Well built, reliable. I didn't want to go to a lower priced and lower quality unit. And i didn't want to pay more for something I wasn't sure of. Good product based on my experience.

I purchased this unit three years ago and placed it under the garage eve. Over the weekend I periodically watched the sunrise and set. Making sure II would get as much sun as possible. I placed it under the eve so that it would be guarded from the rain. RAIN and electronics do not get along. This light gives you the need light to see. Nothing more. Which is what I was looking for.

The item just stopped working. I went to my shed tonight and the light no longer will come on. I turned it off and back on, it was always set on auto and is in direct sunlight most of the day.

The window to return this item was August 20th 2016, but I feel the item should be replaced because I only purchased it in July.
Added two of these to my outsside storage building.

Used one unit over the shed door.
Then got creative with a 2nd unit to light the inside when motion detected inside.
A small rectangular hole in the wall lets solar charge from the outside and light shines inside.
My solution to an outside building with not electrical access.

If my experiment did not work, I would expand the hole to become the corner window I had original intended make.
