It's extremely difficult to find a rubber boot that has extra width for very large calved people, which is why I ordered these. They are a very nice boot and the calf width is truly awesome. Unfortunately, the toe area is a bit too small and narrow, and the outer heel could do with being a bit wider as I felt a bit unsteady on them.

I returned these boots. They are cute but I have small feet and ankles and large calves from exercise. I could have put 3 of my feet and ankles in the boots but yet the calves were still snug so they bunched around the bottom of the calves and even with thick socks they were too long and wide. They were also quite heavy so when I lifted my foot up the weight of the boot caused it to slide off. They were expensive. Unless your feet, ankles and calves are proportional these boots are not comfortable and will not fit.

I received these with a sticker that says "not for heavy use" or something along those lines. I live in a city where you walk and use public transport and it rains about 50% of the time. The one tightening fastener wont stay closed and I feel I have very little support. Also, I have wide feet and my poor toes are squished. I hope they last a bit, but they arent comfortable or supportive for lots of walking as I tested them out last week on a rainy day errand. That being said, they look nice and despite a weird wide gap because I dont have curvy wide calfs, just poles, they at least fit by giant calves that have been the bane of my existence since middle school, thx dad. I just want comfortable feminie shoes for my giant feet and legs, that seems too much to ask.

I've been shopping around for some waterproof boots for light field work. Turns out thats harder than expected if you have big calves. However these worked out pretty great- my calf is around 18.5 inches I usually tighten the clasps almost all the way but they have the space to extend decently farther. I wish the clasps were a little more substantial because when I walk the inner ones occasionally come undone.
Other than that these have served me pretty well. I've worn them a few times in the marsh and water and they've held up well- no leaking, no rips- and thats coming from a person wearing these boots not for their intended purpose.
ANYWAYS I'd recommend trying these out. The purples cute. Though like many people said SIZE DOWN. I usually wear a 9 and an 8 in these boots fit me just right.
Other than that these have served me pretty well. I've worn them a few times in the marsh and water and they've held up well- no leaking, no rips- and thats coming from a person wearing these boots not for their intended purpose.
