Cheap sub/amp equal poor performance in this case. Sub gets extremely distorted when turned up to a normal listening level and the amp gets smoking hot. If played for any extended period of time it overheats and shuts down.

I purchased one of these several months ago. A friend of mine really liked it also, so I ordered one for him as a Xmas gift. I'm sure he will like it!

Failed in the 1st hour!!!! Overheated, electronics shorted & blew the fuse. Electrical panel was very very hot. What a disaster!! Totally destroyed my visit to grandson to setup a great stereo system for his birthday.... This thing is only good for about 100W continuous otherwise, it overheats & distroy's itself!!!

Not the performance I expected from a 12" sub, the amplifier seems to be complete garbage. The sound is muddy and never had any shake to it. It does not even come close to the performance of my Dayton SUB-1000 10" 100 Watt indoor subwoofer. At medium sound levels, the amp then started to distort heavily and gave me a headache in no time. If you are looking to add a bit of bass to your car, maybe this is an ok choice. But lets face it, you are not shopping for a little low volume bass if you are looking at 12" enclosures. This thing is supposed to rumble. Didn't work for me. I replaced it with the Rockford Fosgate P300-12 Punch 300 Watt and that just has the performance I was looking for, at honestly twice the price. I have not yet turned that thing up beyond it's capabilities, which is what I would expect from a sub of this size.

Would not recommend this product at all. If you are looking at under $100 subs, get a quality product of smaller size, you will be off better
