really awesome.. haven't sent anything out yet, but the kids who are really artistic and enjoy quiet time like this will really enjoy it, and it's a great memory to keep and have around for the kids when they get older to look back and show them.. I do wish it were a little cheaper.. I feel like it's kind of expensive.. it really just contain simple paper (printer paper with lines for the book) and some markers inside.. I guess when you buy it, it's more so for the publishing of the book itself vs. the kit.. still super great buy! thank you!

If you want to give an unique/different gift to any kid this is it! My son wrote his "story" and we got the book 2 weeks after sending the papers/story.
It is awesome and motivate my son to write more.Now he wants to make the second part of his book lol...He is excited and happy! So worth it!

Just bought this for my six year old niece for her birthday. My daughter got one when she was six and wrote her very own book with it. The kit is great for brainstorming and outlining your ideas. She wrote and illustrated the entire thing all on her own. Once she was done, we mailed it off for our very own hard bound book. It came quickly and was perfect! She actually took it to school to share wit her class and her teacher had her read her story to the entire class. She was very impressed! Hands down, this is a great kit and an amazing value!

Well, I really loved this idea. I gave it to my daughter last year for Christmas. The order form says that it expires on March 31st, 2016. So we are frantically trying to finish the book to order it before in expires in less than two weeks. The problem is, the code is already "invalid." I don't know why, I just know it doesn't work. So, I emailed CS and am waiting to hear back. I'm hoping they will fix it, but otherwise, I just paid for absolutely nothing but a waste of time. Even if they do fix it, that gives us even less time to get the book ordered. I'm very disappointed. It's just bad business, especially when dealing with a kid and her Christmas present. I will adjust stars if they correct the issue, but for now, buyer beware.
