it has great flavor and smell

I drink a lot of coffee, 2 or 3 cups a night at times as I'm on the night shift, I have tried several coffee brands and flavors, this tops the charts for me in flavor and strength, it has great flavor and smell, I usually drink it black with one sugar, it isn't bitter. Good coffee, give it a try !
Light roast is not my taste.

I really wanted this to be "my" new coffee. I have been trying to drink less caffeine, and my go-to is the San Francisco Fog Lifter. It's so good. I wanted to like this Mad Monkey decaf just as much, but I think it just has too light of a roast for my taste.
The coffee brews really nicely and looked great. Smelled great! It just has a little less of that burnt coffee bean thing than I like, and too much of that acidity that I dislike in a light roast. It's not inherently bad, just a matter of preference.
The pods are a little different than what I am used to. They are similar to a regular keurig pod, except that the outside cup is clear and the inside is the kind of mesh filter I'm used to seeing in the San Francisco brand. I didn't have a problem with them, although I do prefer the mesh-only kind because they use less plastic. I'm sure some people prefer the cup version because it stays fresh without being in another container.
I will keep this around for guests for sure, and my husband likes these enough to drink them when he feels like decaf (which isn't often). I'll have to keep searching for a decaf that tastes good and also doesn't break my budget.

Definitely bold, but not over-roasted. Pretty good K-cup brew.

I used to think this was way too strong. Now I like it a lot. Still strong, but once I got the amount of water right and added half and half, this is good stuff. I frothed some milk and had I not been too lazy to cop an attitude I'd have thought I was in Starbucks, only with good coffee. This is no Starbucks substitute. It's dark roast, not burnt roast. The subtlety of Jamaican is not there, but you can find a robust flavor if you drink it hot. Honestly, to be great I have to roast and grind my own beans, usually Guatemalan, This is good for K-cup.
Normally we love Mad Monkey

Normally we love Mad Monkey, but this last batch was nowhere near the same experiences with earlier purchases of MM. Just about every K-cup 'exploded' all over the inside of the Keurig machine. Not only was the cup of coffee wasted, but there was also a terrible mess to clean. I am disappointed because none of the other boxes did this. I am not sure if I would buy again at this point...
Good strong bold flavor especially at the price

Mad Monkey Swinging Bold; Good strong bold flavor especially at the price. I have been drinking my coffee stronger and stronger lately so need a dark roast and as stated before, for the price a great deal. The plastic cover is hard to pierce with the needle on my kuerig.
Mad Monkey Kicken it decaf; If you're going to call a coffee Mad Monkey Kicken it then it should be a dark, rich, bold brew. Not as strong as I would like (see stronger and stronger above). It's as good and cheaper as the San Francisco Bay French Roast decaf but on both of them I have to brew on the smallest (5.25 oz.) setting on the Kuerig. Puncturing seal is same as stated above too. Best decaf I've found for reasonable price on Amazon is the Millhouse 100% Colombian decaf but comes ground not in K-cups.
