Good product that works
M. JohnstonJuly 21, 2017
Works as advertised. On a grill, it definitely needs to not be over a lit burner or it will flame up. After lighting and closing the lid to the grill, the flame hasn't always died out. I spray it with a little water, which kills the flame without putting out the smoldering pellets. I am using their applewood pellets and I have to say, my chicken is not coming out very smoky. It puts out a nice small steady stream of smoke, which probably works really well for something cooked for hours, but for something only cooked 40-60 minutes, things don't seem to get enough of the smoky flavor. They do burn for a long time. Even 1/3 filled it burns for several hours. Way longer than I grill anything.

These work way better than any other smoking system I have tried on my grill. If only I could get a little more smoke flavor I would give it 5 stars. Thinking of buying another one to double the smoke output for more flavor.
I love this thing

There is a learning curve on how to use it I built electric smoker and I had to use foil at the bottom of the tube in order to get the proper smoke. If you use it and have your vent wide open you get too much smoke giving you a bad taste. Adjust the vent on the top and by experimenting you can have the thing burn 2 hours to 3 hours on a 6 inch or 4 hours to 5 hours on an 12 inch tube. Which gives it the most Pleasant smoke taste in your meat. I tried to use this in my Komodo Grill by putting it on the grill and it will snuff it out. By putting it in the ash pan at the bottom and it will get the fresh air it will burn very well and not too hot just right like I said I learning curve on what you're using it on you have to have air for oxygen so it can burn but you want to watch how much you give it.
Propane torch needed!
Michael R. WilsonApril 25, 2017
Seems to do what I wanted it to do, provide extra smoke on my pellet grill. Definitely need a propane torch to light this sucker and then stand back! I had a hard time blowing out the flame so I could put the sucker on the smoker, the 10 minute wait is a minimum. Overal looks like it'll be a good accessory for my smoker.
Great Product!

I have both the 6" and 12" Tube and they work amazing. Easy to use and provides the perfect amount of smoke flavor to your food. I like the simplicity of a pellet smoker but always felt like you got a better smoke using a charcoal cooker. This definitely helps close the gap for those using a pellet cooker that want that smoke flavor! 6" tube is good for a 2-3 hour smoke and and the 12" is best for those longer cooks.

I used the smoker in my gas grill I liked the way it worked but after the burn the ashes will go all over the place when removing it for emptying if the wind is blowing. It is also a little hard to get started with the wind blowing. We live in an area where the wind blows almost all the time especially in the evening we get a sea breeze. If there is a good wind blowing it has a tendency to blow out the flame before it gets started well enough to smoke properly. I had to put it in my charcoal pit with the lid partly down to get it started. Not a problem if you have a gas grill and a charcoal pit, it would not stay lit in my gas grill they have to much ventilation. I would not recommend moving it around to much after it has started as the embers will blow out and could cause a fire if you are not careful. But in all I enjoyed the way it smoked our meal and will continue to use it I hope for a long time.
