I used these for HITS triathlon. The water was really cold and I felt warm with these on. Some water comes in but it works really well to have these on to regulate your body temp.

Year round ocean swim in Sitka, Alaska. These are by far the BEST swim socks around. Very warm, one of few that have a left and right foot - so the fit is great. Nice traction on the bottom. Put these on before you don your wet suit. I wear these 6 months out of the year for ocean swims. When I kayak, I wear them every time.
