I waited a long time to write this review because I wanted to get in to the dog days of August to see how much this shade actually helped. It's wonderful. The sun is awful on one side of my house because it beats down from mid morning until sunset. It's unrelenting in the upstairs bedroom. Even with blackout curtains the heat still beats us up. This shade has helped keep the room much more comfortable and looks so pretty. I'll admit the roller bar roll up is a bit of a pain but not bad once you get used to it.

Great shades. I had an issue with the plastic covers on the ends being broken in transit, but I got some more from the manufacturer. They function well, and keep a lot of heat off the porch.
