They did what I needed them to do, but with a little effort.
I assumed that the screw would be somewhere around half the length of the tube, but it wasn't. It was very short, so I had to drill a counter-sink for the screw head to make sure the threads were in far enough to be secure.

Really wanted a longer thread inside the tube. Metal seemed soft, had to be careful tightening them. Multiply strips.
