Just OK but not really what I wanted
C. Neville✓ Verified Purchase•January 11, 2018
I bought this case because I wanted:
-protect my new iPad
-allow my iPad to double as a laptop
-ease of travel
-keyboard integration
It met 2 out of 4. It definitely covers the iPad but the button home button is not easy to access once in its case. When the case is in "laptop mode" the iPad slides down slightly and is a little difficult to access.
When using the iPad as a laptop the case was stable on a flat table surface. It was fairly easy to type and use the iPad touch screen together. It was a little annoying having the extra 3-5 inches of leather just exposed. You can slide the keyboard down to the end of the leather case and then the iPad screen would stand with more of a angle. The major draw back with the case is if you use this on your lap (as a laptop), the iPad almost always fell over.
The case was too bulky for my needs but it did provide very good protection and I believe it would prevent damage to your iPad if dropped. It was not easy to put the case in my bag with my laptop.
The keyboard was ok for spacing and key size. The Apple short cut keys were good and need a function key to enable. The draw back of the keyboard is the time to wake for use. It would sometimes take 5 or more seconds for the keyboard to respond and the unlock button would not always wake the iPad. If I am in "laptop mode" I want to use the keyboard solely to interface with the iPad.
The product worked but not to my expectations. I have sent it back.

Keyboard may not be what you are used to; case may slightly cover Home button
Laura L.✓ Verified Purchase•January 1, 2018
The case does not line up precisely with my iPad Air 2. The most annoying is that the home button is slightly obscured by the case, which makes fingerprint recognition harder.
That alone might have been OK. What affected me more is that the keyboard is non-standard. If you are a touch typist, i.e. you don't hunt and peck to find each letter/character when typing, you are probably used to characters like / being in a certain place. This keyboard has several keys in different places. Look at the keyboard photo closely before ordering, if you touch-type, to be sure it's the keyboard you and your fingers are used to. Also, the space bar is by necessity small, but it's also moved further to the left than some other iPad cases, so it may take some getting used to, for your thumb to find the space bar - depending on what other keyboards you use.

Great Craftsmanship at a Great Price!

Received on time and really impressed with the craftsmanship of this case! Perfect fit for my IPad Air 2, all the cut outs for jacks, camera, etc are perfect, good snug fit and the magnetic keyboard allows me to slide the keyboard to adjust the viewing angle of the screen. I was worried that I would be stuck with a single viewing angle, but sliding the keyboard out does the trick. Keyboard paired immediately and is highly responsive. Very happy with this product's quality and performance so far!
Not for me

01/03/18 UPDATE: So, after 3 months of use, I decided I just cannot get accustomed to the move of the colon/semicolon, question/backslash keys. The number keys are also smaller. Going back to my other keyboard.
Just got this and am getting used to it. I like the keyboard response, although I do find the space bar is a bit smaller than my last one, so am making adjustments. When using the stand I find it is a little too close to the keys on the keyboard, but I see this as merely getting accustomed to this new piece of equipment. I found it odd that I had to logon on to the Alpatronix website using Chrome rather than Safari - I could not register this device using Safari as it only showed a blank screen except for the notice, "If you've already registered....etc."
After only a day of use, I like it...let's see if that continues.

Seemed to be a nice keyboard and layout was adequate
Natchmo✓ Verified Purchase•July 3, 2017
Seemed to be a nice keyboard and layout was adequate. However this product was faulty and returned to Amazon for two reasons.
1. Battery would not hold a charge. And
2. Even when constantly plugged in with green charge light the keyboard would not completely (finish) linking with my iPad.
Basically useless. This unit was flawed and refunded. I like to think other Alpatronix keyboards work well give its overall rating. But, given my experience I have gone to another brand.
