Blade not sharp and cant seem to get one
Robert S.✓ Verified Purchase•September 4, 2017
I am not sure i would buy this again. It works great on onions for slicing and dicing, but blade is not sharp enough for tomato.
I tried to get a new blade, but they wouldn't respond to email. I had a cheaper unit that would slice tomato.
i will probably get one of those again and just use this for dicing onions.
if anybody know how to get a blade for this let me know. blade would not slice tomato when new. i have had it a few months.

New model much safer than older ones

Much safer than the older mandolins. Found it much cheaper a couple of weeks after this one was delivered but as the old saying goes, "tooooo late"! Wife still managed to cut her finger pretty good as she didn't take the time to get the safety slicer on properly. Haste makes blood.
Great product!

This mandoline is exactly what I wanted. Especially like that blades are built in and available with the flip of a switch. Curbing function is pretty easy after a little practice. Although I caught a good sale, item is still a little pricey so subtracted 1/2 a star. Subtracted the other 1/2 because there seems to be a small dull spot after only a few uses. I still love this product though.

I have used this product twice now and I love it. I love that it is all in 1. I would never use it because of all the fuss with all the parts, cleaning, use and unorganized storage. With this unit you just open the back protective blade door and put it in the dishwasher and it folds up nicely in 1 unit for storage. Love it! Once I had a good strategy (driest vegetables to most moist vegetables) I was able to get all my vegetable slicing for the week and clean up done in about 1 hour.

I bought this product after reviewing a lot of others. It appeared to be the most flexible and durable....I used my new mandoline for the first time night before last. I was slicing potatoes. On the last slice, 8-10 of the plastic prongs on the hand guard were sheared off by the blade. I have attached a picture. The broken prongs are at the bottom. I feel this is a design problem. I hope the manufacturer will replace. Thank you.
