This stuff is great. My plants love it. My shrimp love it. It looks great in the tank. I'd buy again any day for a planted tank!
Good stuff, I'm impressed with the quality

Good stuff, I'm impressed with the quality. I replanted my aquarium plants into pots with this and it's working out great.
Gr8 Plant Substrate

Works as expected, rinse then plant ur tanks, run filter for a day to clear the water faster if thats important to you but gr8 substrate for plants. Plants may need weighted as this doesnt hold them down well
Plants are growing very well!

This is the perfect amount for a 5.5 gallon cube (10in x 10in x 11in). I did give it a gentle rinse before putting in my tank, but the water still looked really murky for a few hours. By the next day it was clear. This substrate was so light and fluffy, so I only gave 4 stars due to how difficult it is to work with. The hardscape sunk down in the back and plants had a little trouble staying down at first. Once the plants got a few roots going, though, they are all growing quickly and coloring up nicely. I do have a little bit of that stringy algae, but a little bit of liquid carbon and regular water changes seems to be taking care of that. If I were to get this again, I would layer a bag of gravel under the hardscape to maintain the height and maybe get some little plant weights to help with initial planting of the small plants.
Use for emersed.

Works great. Works much better in an emersed setup though.
