My husband has problems with his temperature fluctuating. His doctors don't believe him when he tells them how low it gets. This thermometer solved that problem. Having a place to electronically store his readings has been very helpful.

We have a file set up for each member of the family so we can always remember what the last reading said. When you take someone's temperature at 3 in the morning, you tend to forget exactly what it was when you go to the doctor later that day.

It's also easy to clean. Kinsa replaced the old model for the new one at no cost. Great customer service!

Gave 4 stars even though this did not work with our android cell. Customer service was amazing and they refunded us the money but let us keep the kinsa. We used it on a friends iPhone and it worked. I think it is off a degree or two but most thermometers out there are like this. Do like the popping bubbles app...Great if you have children. Disposable plastic covers would work great for this thermometer.

I have had numerous thermometer's from the time my daughter was born - did not have good luck with any of them. The expensive ear thermometer NEVER gave me an accurate reading. I have tried the ones that you stick to the child's forehead - not good. The standard under the tongue tend to not last. Kinsa is not only EXTREMELY accurate - it has some basic instructions - most of which you already know, but it doesn't hurt. The history is one of the best things - you can see trends - you can prove to the Childrens ER doctor that her fever was in fact 105!!! I would recommend this to anyone. Oh, and now that I have upgraded my iPhone, they are sending me a new Kinsa - WOO HOO!

This is such a great idea, but the execution isn't perfect. It really didn't work well with my Samsung Note 3. I kept getting error messages. After following all the troubleshooting directions, I contacted customer service and they sent a replacement thermometer by the end of the week. They were amazing to deal with - no hassles and very helpful!! I have since replaced my phone and I now have a Samsung Note Edge. It works perfectly with this phone with almost no issues. I have learned that I can't have the phone on silent mode when I load the app. For some reason that causes problems. When I remember that, we're in good shape. Possibly the best part of this is the fact that you can easily track the temperatures and symptoms over time with notes and photos of rashes, pink eye color, etc. For a family, this is priceless. We all had the flu at the same time this spring and it was so much easier to keep track of everyone's symptoms using this app. My only request would be that they add a way to save all of that data and transfer it to a new phone. It was disappointing to lose all that data when I upgraded the phone. Bottom line - despite the glitches, I love this device and as it improves, I expect to be able to give it an unreserved 5 star review.

It's there when you need it and never needs batteries. it also does a very nice job of keeping track of history for multiple people with symptoms that noone cares to remember when they are feeling miserable. Plug in, select person, insert into mouth (or under arm or rectal), get reading and then press pictures corresponding to symptoms at the time. Then, take meds, lay back down and don't worry about it until you call the doctor and he askes when you took your temp last and what else was going on. Then, its all there and your brain gets a rest.
