Works good for transferring liquids
CostxAugust 11, 2018
I don't submerge it, never have, but I have pumped many gallons of my wine, beer, and cider with it. Using it with a suction hose though it does need help with priming. I simply put a bulb type siphon hose primer on the output end and just give it a few squeezes, pumping the air out, to get the liquid into the pump. It hasn't let me down yet.
Works well

I put together a denitrification reactor to grow anaerobic bacteria to lower my nitrate levels. In order to do that one needs to create an environment that is deficient in oxygen with suitable media for the bacteria to grow in/on. This requires reducing the flow of water to below 50gph.

I set up this little system using Seachem De*nitrate, two fishes 150 reactor, a simple fountain pump rated @ 63gph, a dc motor control circuit to adjust the speed of the pump, and a dc power supply.

The thing was simple to hook up and is working like a champ!
Great little workhorse. Works wonderful on my 12v solar fountain.

I purchased this pump after having a similar one fail. It is straight forward on wiring and works like a champ with my 12v solar panel. So far the only concern is that the included screen does not do a good job stopping debris from entering the pump and jamming it up (about once a month I have to clean it by hand). For the price this one works like a champ. I will update when this one dies.

Get what you pay for, go for a better pump if you want it to last

Was used for a hydroponic circulation pump that would run 10 minutes per hour 6 times a day. Hooked it up and worked fine for 3 days, 4th day I noticed it wasn't on at its set time, then realized it had SMOKE in the output line. Seems it died and was just drawing max amps from the solar system. Thankfully it was on a fuse and popped that before it did any damage to the system.
works great and hasn't crapped out through moderate abuse

this little guy is great. I'm currently using it to empty the water that accumulates in my AC drip pan because it has no drain and is currently the best method of going about it. it will run from 6v or less (much slower) but at 12v it can pump a gallon in less than 30 seconds. there have been times due to an inefficient tube setup I have where the pump had been running for hours without any water running through it and it still works fine.
