I didn't think these could possibly be so painful
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•October 31, 2017
I ordered these to wear with a costume thinking they'd be more comfortable than heels. Umm, no. How dancers wear these is a mystery to me. Maybe this pair is an exception, given all the positive reviews, but I can't even imagine trying to dance in these.
When I ordered these there was no choice of size available, they were about a size 8 or 8.5. I wear a 9. They had a 40 sticker on the bottom which I guess is probably the is the size in the country of manufacture, if it's a European 40, I think it runs small, I'm pretty sure that is what I would normally wear in European sizes and these were at least a half size too small.
They have leather pads on the main contact points of the sole, underneath the pad at the ball of the foot was a bump/lump/bulge that seemed to get bigger the longer I wore them. Through out the day at my office, where i sit at a desk most of the time, these got more and more painful. I was hobbling around trying to keep the weight off the front of my foot until I just gave up wearing them, by halfway through the day I was walking around barefoot. The day after the bottoms of my feet felt bruised, and today, the second day after wearing them my feet still feel that way. They have a little drawstring so you can make them fit better, which is nice, but even though it's elastic there's not enough give, so tying it tight enough to make a difference actually did leave bruises on the tops of my feet.
Maybe I got a bad pair, but I'm definitely not going to try again. These were way worse than heels and somehow hurt my feet in the exact same places.

Very lovely. A bit snug though, a size up might have helped but I'm thinking that they will stretch with use. Looks exactly as pictured.

Fit as expected, you just have to take the time to measure and follow the guide the seller provides. I bought these for my daughter to wear on stage for a school performance.

First time ever!!! I ordered these shoes 1 size larger than called for. They are at least 2 sizes smaller than an 8. I don't think they are a 9 but maybe a six. Its too late to reorder because they a for a play. They are going to be returned.
