The item arrived quickly in good packaging. The swinging door (part#8) had a plastic catch that was missing a screw and was glued into place at one time but fell off. Both screw holes for the catch on this part were stripped out. Part # 18 , a divider for the little mailbox area on top of the desk instantly split when screwed down to the desktop. Worst Worst Worst of all where the 6 cam/shaft locks that connect the desk top down to the desk. They were a very cheap cast metal that could hold the pressure of the screwdriver without stripping, and the didn't even line up properly to catch the screw coming straight down into them. I know you expect a lot of work and some cheaper material when buying online. These problems are not cheap material it is defective/no engineering.
DESK IS NOT 32" HIGH!!! IT IS ONLY 24.5"!!!!

If you're looking for a desk for your growing youngster, pass this one by! I needed 30-32" of height, and took the > at face value. Wish I'd read on. I know Amazon will say it's my own damn fault. Bummer. Just trying to keep someone else from making the same mistake...

Not a bad desk for my 5 year old. We wanted a smaller desk for her to use and this is the perfect size for her right now. For the price I didn't expect perfection but it seems fairly solid and the instructions were very clear. With any MDF furniture I always go beyond just basic assembly and I glue every piece together with titebond so I know it'll hold up the next couple years.
Small child size and decent quality. Nothing amazing but does the job.

We've had this desk for 2.5 years. Size and quality should be no surprise to consumers- you get what you pay for and the dimensions are clearly stated on product page. This is definitely a small desk, best suited for probably 3-6 year olds. We WANTED a small child sized desk for our preschooler and this was the ticket; it was perfect for him through first grade. It is not amazing quality, but it lasted as long as it fit him (with many, obvious signs of wear). Basically, this worked for our needs and our budget with our son, but it will probably be donated rather than handed down to younger siblings.
Good for young child.

This was my first desk to assemble and over two days I was able to complete it. Directions were easy to follow and all pieces were clearly labeled. However the only thing I didn't like was that one of the handles did not fit the pre-drilled holes on the drawer. I'll just go buy one at the store even though customer service was willing to accommodate me.
