The set is beautiful and well made. My main complaint is the dice are small and really takes away from the set. There is no doubling cube and no dice shaker. I'm happy that I bought different dice and a shaker. The lacking of the items cost you a star. If you buy this set make sure that you purchase new dice and a shaker. No complaints about the product quality.

This is an amazing backgammon set! Trust me, it is even better in real life than it looks on the pictures. It took me a while to find a good unique handmade set and I'm very glad I came across this product on amazon. This is a HUGE bang for your buck, especially when you compare this product to any other handmade set selling online in the US, which are priced significantly higher for similar or even lower quality products.

I purchased this backgammon set for my wife. My entire family loves board games EXCEPT my wife. When she pointed out this backgammon set, I jumped on the opportunity to include her in on the family pastime. It was russian (she loves the antics of one, Vladimir Putin). It was handmade (and we all know that handmade things are superior to mass produced drivel). Finally, it was super cool looking (always an added plus. in both wives and backgammon sets).

The set arrived about 3 months before it was scheduled to (those crazy russians. Hacking the mail delivery systems for my benefit. spiceeba). My wife took one look at it, and kissed me. I thought that we would all finally have a game we could play together and enjoy. My heart leapt with joy.

It was not to be my friends. The set is so beautiful and wonderfully made, that my wife has determined that it will be a show piece. When her friends come over she will point to it and say "look at my beautiful backgammon set that came from russia! its handmade!" This set holds a place of distinct honor in our home. It displaced some of our children's photos. The dogs are not allowed near it.

I will say that it DID bring out family together. Not in the intended way however. My wife showed her appreciation in a most appreciated way the night it arrived.

Love the set! nicely made! the only bummer is that there is no wells for the pieces on the sides. But they just store in the body when done and sit on the table when killed. dice are ridiculously small so replaced them with standard. All in all nice set

Very nice board, I just wish the pieces were a little bit more heavy and substantial.
