I wish I hadn't bought this.

I was really excited about getting and using this press to help me in juicing grapes for jelly. The biggest problem with it is that the screw mechanism that moves the press down sheds metal as you turn the handle. The round plate also rubs against the side of the basket. The only part of the press that is stainless steel is the basket with the spout, all the rest of it appears to be aluminum. I guess you get what you pay for.
Works well for tinctures

I bought this for use in making herbal tinctures. I have pressed at least 20 tinctures since buying it. It does a great job and I've yielded much more liquid than without using this press.
Pros:
It presses the herbs nearly dry
It's easy to use even if you don't mount it
Leaves no metal shavings in the herbs
Metal is sturdy, feels heavy duty, it should last some time
Cons:
It came in a really beat up box
The washer broke after the first time using it, now the plate doesn't attach to the screw, however, it still works just fine

It needed a little lubrication in the tightening mechanism, because we were pressing essential oils, we used olive, then worked perfectly
