Sadly the top of the heater is super vented. Good and bad I suppose

Sadly the top of the heater is super vented. Good and bad I suppose. Sadly though, with all of that venting on the top, all of the heat is shot right out the top as opposed to radiating out of the sides where people are sitting. Not great for camping applications.
Very good unit

Works as advertised.Good value. Generates a lot of heat quickly. Ignites quickly and easily. In use at a house construction site, frequently in the single digits outside and in the twenties inside, brings the temp up 10 degrees within an hour. The carbon monoxide detector, keep in close proximity while in use, has never indicated an elevated concentration. Works with a 20 Lb propane tank but that size tank cools down the propane and restricts flow and reduces the heat output after 15 minutes. Works better with 100 lb propane tank.

Makes my two car garage toasty warm!
Typically I fire it up and let it cook for a while on the highest setting and then I drop it down to it's lowest setting - if not, it gets too warm. If it's not very cold outside, I'll raise the door an inch or two to help balance the temperature.
My garage, like most I think, isn't air tight or insulated so I'm not particularly worried about CO2 build up but if you are, portable CO detectors are cheap and easy to find.

I'm using the 25,000 BTU model with a 20 pound tank in my two car garage. Only one wall is insulated. The past few days, it's only been about 6 degrees for the high, so I've been running it on high. It keeps the garage at around 45-50 degrees. I'm using a fan to move the air, otherwise I end up with a very warm spot where the heater is, with the rest of the garage very cold.
At full power, it's fairly loud, but not overpowering. I have the garage door closed, but there are air leaks between the panels and on the side of the door. I have a CO detector in the garage and it has not registered above 0 yet. I run the heater for a couple of hours at full blast, then turn it down below halfway to maintain the temperature. Our outdoor temperatures this time of year are typically in the high 20s or low 30s, so this unit is appropriate, I think. If we had single digit temps all winter, like we're having now, I would have opted for the next higher unit.
This one came fully assembled, other than the hose, so setup was quick and easy. It started on the first try. Obviously the surfaces get very hot, so use care in where you place it and keep an eye on your kids and pets.
