I have received 2 of these hides & I am completely thrilled with them. Perfect hides, no holes, no discolorations. They were both bigger than I thought they'd be. Very soft & beautiful colors. I made a purse out of the red with enough left over for another smaller one.

I got this to use as a liner for making kydex sheaths for some knives I am making. This leather is nice thin and soft perfect for what I am using it for. There is a lot also so it will let me experiment and try to come up with something that really fits well and keeps the blade clean and scratch free. There were very few holes and only around the edges. The thickness is around 1.5-2mm.

A lot of people are complaining that it isn't the size they thought it would be, or that there are holes in the leather. Keep in mind: these are sheep, this is real leather, no one is perfect, not even sheep.

so many poor reviews, but I have purchased other products from reed, and the price was good, so I took a chance on this sheep skin. Mine came in 2 pieces, with some minor holes along the edges. That doesn't bother me, I plan to cut it up anyway, I will work around them. I have 7.5 square feet, without counting the irregular edges. This is a great deal, and the color, thickness, and texture are even throughout the skins. I'm doing some leather craft while I recover from a broken ankle. I can't get around to do my usual work, and this keeps me busy and helps me feel productive.
