Heavy duty, well constructed. Worth the money!

Ordered this for a recent move. Was pleasantly surprised with how thick and resilient it was compared to the bags sold by companies like UHaul.
Be aware that it does make carrying things like mattresses more difficult as the matress is prone to slipping easily within the bag, and you can only hold by the bag one the bag is on. This led us to gripping by the bag and at times stretching the bag. The bag never ripped or tore but it did stretch out in some areas.
This bag does not seal. It is up to you to tape it shut if you are worried about it being protected long term i.e. in a storage locker. It is simply an open top with no sealing mechanism.
Overall, it is an excellent bag for moving and storage for the price paid. Heavy duty, good quality, does not rip or tear easily. Would purchase again!

I purchased this to move a Plush Bed organic latex mattress from a farmhouse in nasty weather. The UHaul trailer was unexpectedly reeking with fumes from whatever gas-power vehicle was transported in it, and dirty besides. I had double bagged this mattress, moving it down a spiraling artic staircase, through a concrete porch and down concrete stairs. Neither bag ripped. Note that duct tape did not stick well, even the gorilla version. So be forewarned and use something else.
This will be the bag I use for my next move...this time in King size. There is no comparison to the UHaul mattress bag to this one ~ the UHaul easily ri[s. That reminds me -- it's time to order again...

Strong, sturdy mattress protectors

I bought two of these mattress protectors, put a memory foam mattress in them and hauled it to NY in the car. Even after forcing it into the car...make sure to put the taped side in last, it held up. We dragged it across a parking lot and slid it up two flights of steps and it only had one hole in it after all that. I actually think the hole occurred because a suitcase got snagged on it. I'm pretty impressed with the strength of the plastic because we really were not gentle with it at all. They are in good enough shape to reuse them when moving again!

I got this to cover a futon mattress that my cat loves to lay on. I was tired of vacuuming off cat hair and shutting the door to the room. I decided to try this. It's thick so not as clear as I would like it to be but I knew that was probably going to be the case when I bought it. I wanted the color of the mattress to show through (which it does just not as vibrant, it kind of has a milky look). I knew by thickness I shouldn't have to worry about claws cutting the plastic and so far I have been right. Since, this was not bought for it's intended use I have to say that I think it would hold up well for moving and storing mattress (which I have done plenty of). It does have an open end similar to an envelop. So if storage is your intention then I would suggest maybe taping it up well.

Items arrived on time and in good condition. These mattress bags are made of heavy, thick plastic and provided superior protection for my mattress and box spring. The mattress is about 17 inches thick and the bag covered it with ease. They are not self sealing; however packing tape securely sealed them. I would highly recommend these for anyone moving or storing mattresses.
