I love having long-ish side swept bangs and everytime I go to the salon they always cut it too short or too long for my taste. Plus, it's also starting to add to a lot of money by just going in for my bangs. I started watching some Youtube videos to learn how to cut my own bangs and turn to Amazon for some cheap hair shears. I cut my own bangs for the first time a couple days ago and it turns out great, i'm gonna try to trim my ends with this scissors next and I'm sure it will do a great job also. I'm taking one star off because I did notice the tip doesn't cut very well like other reviewers have mentioned but honestly it doesn't bother me too much. And for the price and for how often I need it for, it's not a deal breaker at all.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality and just how sharp these are especially because of the price. I've cut my own hair for 6 or so years now to a couple different reasons. I wear my hair kind of a simple style of a longer bob with some pieces framing my face and fringe type bangs. I've watched MANY YouTube videos on tutorials of how to do. A stylist was charging me 30.00 and a 7.00 tip got to adding up every 8-10 weeks. I have recently purchased the clips with the leveler in the middle to make cutting my hair easier. The smaller one really helps cutting bangs that are even but not cut straight across like when you were 6 yrs. I can't use the plastic bands and if you wear anything larger than a size 6 ring you probably won't be able to either. The shears still work great and are easy to open close but they do come with a little tool to loosen or tighten to make the action easier. One word of caution, make sure you want to cut where you have these set because they are sharp and a good chunk will be missing with one clip.

In the past, I have given stellar reviews to products to later find then disappointing and disposable. Thus I make this review after having purchased this pair of scissors, almost 5 years ago. Having some mileage on them should give my review some credibility. Note, they were not regularly used until this past year. Well, this is the year they were given a opportunity to perform on a regular basis and did so, extraordinarily well! My only mild criticism is that my package did not include any information regarding the enclosed disc which is used to tighten / loosen the tension screw.
