I really like the pleated style. Nice and neat. BUT having to put it under the mattress is a problem when making the bed. Tucking sheet and blanket tends to get the bed skirt caught up. Also, I have a adjustable bed so there is a mattress holder at the foot so it won't slide off. Consequently, the bed skirt doesn't work very well. Fortunately, I have a hope chest at end of the bed so it doesn't show.
