You get exactly what the other reviewers say, custom finger-painted vise by YooLongDingDong; cheap and loose chinesium handles, absolutely incredible tolerances, etc... Despite all of that you can still get things to feel a little better, buy a ball bearing set-screw to hold the vise threaded rod in place, adjust and tighten the adjustment screws, clean everything with mineral spirits, 400 grit, and a scotch-brite. Lap with 120-800 grit the vise jaws because they come covered in a nasty black coating with porosity all over.. My main beef is that the jaws aren't parallel in the slightest but it is obvious they aren't supposed to be; the manufacturer leaned the moving jaw towards the fixed jaw to account for lift when tightening which means holding parts flat is near impossible. The holes and threaded parts for the threaded rod to pass through are extra loose and full of all sorts of shmoo and shavings! That means you should also give it a solid bath in non-water based cleaner and solvent, then lube er up and mill that moving jaw to flat so that it is useable.. It was 60 doll hairs, what did you expect?

I don't have much to base my review on because this is the first vise of its kind I've ever had / used but like other review's have said this thing is pretty sweet just a little sand paper to remove some overspray & smooth things out & a good gib tighting and you have a pretty good vise for 40 buck's very little play & should work fine for my application. I'm pleased just do your research before you buy.

This is good for the price, but could be better. Very solid construction overall, it is a heavy chunk of metal. The travel is not quite as smooth as I'd like, it catches from place to place. All that said, I'm using my drill press as an end mill, and it gets the job done, and the price is great.
