Deciding between 'Like' and 'Love it'.

I can't say that I 'love' this mat, but can say I like it a lot. -- if that makes sense. It's a bit weird because there are bumps on the back and holes on the top that I first couldn't figure out which way to place it down. Does the sand accumulate in the 'holes' or does the cat step on the bumps and the sand accumulates between the bumps. It didn't say on the package so had to go back on line and see what others did. It's placed with the holes up. I bought the Medium to place it right in front of the litter box but right where it meets, that's where all of the extra sand accumulates. With 2 cats, I'm dumping the sand back in about every other to every 3 days. It's a thick padding and lays down nicely. I do see sand off to the sides, but now I"m not sure because that's because the mat curves down on the edges or because my cats are throwing the sand. I had the 'mesh' type and definitely one thing I really like is that it's easy to clean. Still not sure if I like it or love it.
Get one big enough for the area your cat will actually be using when they get out

I really like the way it traps cat litter and how easy it is to fold it and dump the litter back in the box (or trash if so desired). I just wish I would have bought a bigger one and it really sucks when it gets wet.
When it gets wet, the litter on it sticks and looks dirty, so you have to wash it off and then pretty much let it air dry because it's really difficult to dry it yourself. I guess you could use a hair dryer if you wanted. But while my mat is drying, there's nothing on the floor to catch the litter my cat enjoys digging out of the box. but it is very easy to clean and catches a lot of litter.
Which brings me to my second point, it catches a lot of litter - as long as your cat jumps or walks back onto it when they get out. If you have a high side or covered litter, no worries. I have a fairly short box with attached sides that my cat easily jumps over every time he wants to get back out of the box. Not that I blame him, I wouldn't want to walk around in it after I went either, but the litter ends up on my floor and rugs instead of the mat. So I recommend getting one that is big enough for the area your cat will actually be using when they get out.

Paws down, the best designed litter mat

Paws down the best litter and accident mat around. I have this around a large covered litter pan that 5 rescue cats share. I check it about every 2- 3 hours during the day and evening. Litter collects in the small round depressions, and I can simply shake the mat out into the pan. If there are accidents, the mat can go into the tub for a rinse and scrub down, air dry and put back into action in an hour or two. I have two of the medium mats that I use as back-ups. The mat arrived tightly rolled up, but airing it over night got it to lie flat with no remaining plastic odor. It's pleasant to walk on, and none of the cats do that leaping from the pan over it to escape funny feelings on their feet anymore. The price is very reasonable, and the construction is excellent. Strangely enough, this size was available on Subscribe and Save.
but when the cat gets a mess on it I have found no way of getting it off easily. So I found myself replacing it often

This is my review for Petlinks Purr-fect Paws Cat Litter Mat. I have a senior male cat that has runny poo and he tends to sometimes miss the litter box (yes, I have taken him to the vet multiple times). I used to have one of those mats that felt kind of scratchy and rough, but when the cat gets a mess on it I have found no way of getting it off easily. So I found myself replacing it often. For me I wanted something that would keep the mess off the floor and be easy to cleanup. This fits the bill perfectly for my needs and it also keeps the litter from my hallway floor. So it's a Win/Win. I got the XL Version in Gray. It is big enough to use in my space that I have for 2 Large Catit litter boxes with the following dimensions 22.4 inches x 18.3 inches x 15.3 inches. Also, another thing to mention it had no funny smells and laid perfectly flat right of the package. I would not hesitate to recommend this mat. It's perfect!
Very impressed!

I'm very impressed with this mat. The litter spread in my house has reduced dramatically, and my cats do not jump over this mat like they did with the grass type mats. One of my cats actually peed on the mat in front of the litter box, and it was so easy to take care of! Fold it up carefully, take it outside and hose it off. I hung it over my railing and it was dry in no time. One other benefit...the cats can't scratch it up so that it buckles in front of the box. Easy to shake the litter back into the box. I took the advice of another reviewer and put the mats in the dryer for about 10 minutes on medium and they flattened out perfectly. Great product!
