This thing made it through less than two pounds of meat before it started making loud grinding noises like the plastic gears that drive the blade were slipping and the blade would not cut. The beauty ring that covers the blade mount also isn't flush and catches your meat as you move it across the blade to slice. you can hear the motor wavering when it is just running with no materials on it. it is way under-powered. Was sent back after two attempts.

Gears started slipping within 5 weeks

Broke within 5 weeks, after the Amazon return window closed. The gears inside started slipping causing the slicer blade to not turn correctly. I contacted Amazon who issued a return and refund to me, but didn't tell me they were keeping 20% of the cost of a defective product as a "restocking fee". The rep did NOT tell me I should contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement, so I got ripped off for $30 by Amazon on a machine that was defective and will NOT be "restocked". Very unhappy about this entire purchase.
